Happy Friends

Welcome,

Here at The Barefoot Tribe, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 2019, we have been determined to make an impact on the lives of women aged 18+ who are looking for friendships in their adult life.

The core of our efforts is to create a safe and fun space for women to meet up regularly for a variety of fun social activities as a way of finding and connecting with other like minded individuals also looking for connection. This is a social movement for women to come together for fun, friendship and all around good times.

"Friendship is the comfort of knowing that even when you feel alone, you aren't."

Acknowledgement of country

The Barefoot Tribe acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples and Traditional Custodians of this land. Our Tribe operates on the traditional lands of the Gumbaynggirr people of the Gumbaynggirr Nation, where connection to community has been carefully nurtured for thousands of years. We would also like to pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

'It's hard making friends as an adult':
Why young people are getting more lonely.

Loneliness among young adults has become increasingly prevalent, exacerbated by the challenges of adulthood. Our founder Rachael's experience highlights the struggle of making connections in a new community, reflecting a broader trend of young people feeling disconnected.
